celebrating small things

Today was a diaper free day! It was (almost) accident free too. That included a dry grocery trip and a 3 hour nap. Actually, that nap part might say more to how dehydrated/tired my kid is than about her new bathroom skills... but nevertheless we are celebrating after a week of nakedness, waffling back and forth with diapers, and celebrating small deposits in the big kid potty with wild crazy dances and high fives. We now find ourselves a little closer to our goal than when we began and that makes us happy!

Other celebrations... When we got home there were more Christmas cards waiting for us and we were given a gift which allowed us to buy something we've been wanting for a while, a learning tower. It's basically an elaborate stool, but so much better as it's actually SAFE for abby to hang out in and gives me major peace of mind. Abby has actually helped me/us with about 100% more of our projects in the kitchen since we got it which makes our lives drastically different as she doesn't feel the need to compete for our attention during these kitchen times. Hooray!

The time line for making and eating our projects is still a little muddled at this point :)
