The girls were never up late enough for a night fire, but Abby R. had read in many camping books about marshmallows... so this might have been breakfast Sat. morning :)

camping: take 2
It was a relief this weekend to have the car packed, and know there were NOT tornadoes headed directly for our campsite. In fact, we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather as we got together with some Durham friends for our first family camping trip. Abby Rose enjoyed everything immensely and Abby Lily's company made all the other activities so much better. Playing in the tents, hiking, throwing stones, wading and splashing, finding bugs and boats, picnics and reading side by side on their respective potties were the highlights.

ReplyDeleteMy boys have been wanting to go camping...and Dan is going to be taking them this Summer...they have been staring at their fishing poles in the garage waiting to get some practice in on the pond and loved seeing Matthew with his pole ( let's not talk about explaining the pipe!). Marshmallows are one of Micah's all time favorite treats...glad you had nice weather.
