3 generations...

More than 4 years ago, Keith gave a toast at our wedding with some strong words of encouragement to continue the nickoloff name and have a son. Thanks to God and nature he got to meet his grandson this past weekend.
A big highlight of the trip for us all was on Monday when we decided to take a trip into the mountains to see what we could find. We were headed for the town of Breckenridge when we saw a highway ad for a train ride through the mountains and with a little 2 year old train afficianado in the car we had to stop. It was amazing!
About to board... bundled with every piece of clothing we had for the hour plus open car ride through the snowy mountains.

Matthias was a champ and stayed warm, happy and sleepy for the ride.
We then had burgers at a Small mtn restaurant and went up to the continental divide, just to do it. Abby LOVED the abundant snow!
It almost made me ready and welcoming of winter!

  1. Love seeing these pictures! The boys really enjoyed the postcards mom and dad brought them with the pictures of the train and snowy mountains...and of course the cowboy and Indian figurines too. Wish we could make it out there to explore with you too!

  5. Love the pic of Abby with who I am assuming is the conductor. Did you notice the kid in the background looking through the window? Cute! Alexander LOVED looking at the train.
