We had an amazing weekend trip up to Moab, UT. It was so fun to meet up with the Cornells and have a family adventure together. Here it is...
| Friday we arrived after about 6 hours of "are we there yet" and kids music. We had a bit of campsite drama as this was one of the busiest weeks of the year for Moab, but we finally found one which we absolutely loved. |
Saturday we got together with the Cornells and visited Arches National Park. We took the obligatory tourist photos :) |
| The toliets were a small problem for abby who, understandably, did not like their more primitive nature. She refused to go potty even though she really had to. Suddenly on the side of a more popular trail she bent over and started crying. I pulled down her pants and within seconds there was a poop as big as my foot on the ground. That's traveling with a 2 year old for you! |
| The kids loved "scrambling" on the rocks and were really good at it! Abby cracked me up the next day when we were climbing over some rocks and she said "Mommy aren't we strong, scrambled ladies?" |
| Sunday the Conells had to head out but we had more time so we went back to our favorite part of Arches and did a quazi challenging hike! |
Well, not too challenging! There were so many places to play with nature on the hike!
and take cute photos :)
Looking for cloud shapes with daddy.
| Matthias was about this happy the ENTIRE trip. He had a hard time sleeping, hard time with the sunnand dust in his face, with less naps and less mommy time. Hopefully he'll be a bit older and able to enjoy our next camping adventure! |
| On our way out we stopped by a mini beach and played for a while. Abby hasn't let go of winter yet, because she was making snow angels in the sand. She still thinks it's going to snow... and with the weather this week, it just might! |
| We are so thankful for safe travels and good times! |
Wow! What an amazing trip! So glad you guys had a good time. Abby looks like quite the adventurer! It looks beautiful. Love the last photo too.
