Shower Weekend!

I have looked forward to this weekend for so long it was hard to believe when Thursday finally rolled around and Matthew and I packed up the car. We spent the night in Maryland and the Rizzo's new pad which was great to see! We are always grateful for that break in our trip thanks to the hospitality we receive there.

Friday we made it to NY and first off said goodbye (or at least see ya later) to our kitties at the Nickoloff Farm. It was a hard decision to leave them there, but we are excited (a week later) to know that they are doing okay, still being spotted occasionally, and our house is claw and *mostly* cat hair free now.

Afterwards, we moved onto more joyous activities like getting to hang out with Grandma Lord from Florida, Steph and Alex all the way from Massachuttes, and Mom and Jamie. We had a great dinner together (they do NOT have fish fry here in NC) and it was so great to see how big Alex has gotten since just Christmas! I'm not going to lie... the belly starts getting famous here :)

Saturday--

How much fun to see Lissy finally! It had been since Christmas when you couldn't even tell we were pregnant, so we had a whole photo shoot of our beautiful belly babies. Her shower was lovely with lots of family and friends all around. The diaper game with all sorts of chocolate poo made diapers seem like they wouldn't be so bad which is probably okay to think for now. We'll know the truth soon enough!

Lissa is due July 10th (a day after my birthday i'll have you note) and I am due June 1st (2 days before her birthday). Coincidence? hmmmmm :) We couldn't be more thrilled about the arrangement though. Especially getting to share this amazing weekend together. We are soo grateful to our parents for being flexible and coordinating so we could have the time together.

Sunday came quickly after and I was bathed in love at my shower. Mom and crew did such a great job with everything. I couldn't believe how many people came from all sides of my family, it felt like our wedding... except there were 1. more babies!! 2. more attention on my belly. Matthew has a cute baby jealousy mounting (as evidenced in more pics to come)... but that aside we both really had the best time possible at the party.

The pea was just the cutest! And of course we just had to awe (not eat) Mima's great bootie cake!

The Bajus' were able to stop by! Uncle Jim and Kate were at everything, and here are a few generations of Rizzos! Alex wowed everyone with his super sweet personality, and Steph made the games bearable and maybe even fun!
