one wild ride

Matthew and i made a frivolous decision this week: we splurged and paid some extra money to add unlimited rides and attractions to our zoo pass. It feels like endless train rides, giraffe feeding, merry-go-round rides, etc. are just pure spoiling instead of being a treat, but look at her smile on the merry-go-round! Plus we get to take an adult and kid friend free anytime and the kid also has the same benefits as abby. Today we went Abby's friend Caleb and had a blast.

I realized today too that both after the train and the merry-go-round she wanted more and we will still have plenty of opportunities for character developing and saying no, even with a few more rides in the picture. Truth be told, we may not go on the merry-go-round many more times at all anyway, that thing was putting out some serious g force with nothing to hold onto except animals bobbing up and down at an equal pace.

Also, listen for Abby narrating her own video telling us Cabeb is with us, that the bird next to her has a huge beak, and something else i can't remember/make out.

  1. How our boys would love a merry-go-round that is outdoors! They love going to the mall to go on the merry-go-round, it's a special treat we take them to every once in a while, and always ends up being one of the best $1 we can spend! Ours is not so fast, so maybe at Christmas the cousins could all go enjoy a ride together (Micah and Nathan always pretend they are riding Charlie and Silver Side). Thanks for sharing!

  2. If you're going to "spoil" then "endless train rides, giraffe feeding, merry-go-round rides, etc." is definitely the way to go!!!
