Snow!!!

As most of the country heard, Denver got pounded with somewhere less- but close to- a foot of snow earlier this week! Abby woke up and stared out the window telling us excitedly every single thing that was covered in snow. It was cute. Then 2 miracles happened.

1. I got Abby all dressed up thinking maybe we could sneak outside for a minute while Matthias was sleeping in his crib. He hates his crib and generally will only sleep in it for 5 minutes, even if sound asleep before going in it. Abby was soo bundled and soo excited, i was sure he would sleep for even less than those 5 minutes and wasn't sure what we would do.

Matthias slept for an hour while Abby and i made snow men, footprints, caught snow on our tongues, threw snowballs, slid, crunched and generally loved on the snow. That was a miracle.

The second miracle was that about 2 minutes after finishing and admiring our small snowman, a huge branch crashed exactly into the spot where abby had been working. Thank you God for your protection.
