forgotten post...

So Valentine's Day was a big hit. We have been making valentines since Christmas, reading lots of Valentine's Day books, and we even borrowed a craft book that we made a bunch of crafts from. Abby was just beyond herself all day (no nap, not surprisingly) and kept asking us if it was really Valentine's Day. Pretty cute. Even though I'm not all about Hallmark holidays, it is nice to have festivities to gear up for and celebrate.We got some free tickets to the Colorado ballet (Peter Pan) in a few weeks (this wednesday!!!) and gave them to Abby for her Valentine's day gift. She is so excited about all things ballerina right now!
Also, last weekend we went ice skating at a REAL ice skating rink. It was sooo big and cool! There were 6 hockey rinks in addition to the big one for open skating.
Abby and I actually got up some speed when i went backwards. Like skiing, she mostly had to just keep her balance... but she did it and did it well and we even had a little fun before heading to the lodge to sip hot cocoa.

Pretty sure Lily was matthew's valentine :) Especially now that she's laying blue/green eggs!
