The 4th of July was a pretty small celebration here. We visited some friends in the hospital with their adorable baby, Louella.
Abby got a Social Studies lesson and we talked a lot about the flag, our country, states, etc. We had a lot of fun painting a flag as we talked and then since the flag we painted was on the moon some dinosaurs flew there and galloped around. Yup, that's what we do for fun :)
Friday was our 4th art group. It's been going super super awesome with more moms/kids from our neighborhood joining/hosting/playing and doing art together. I'm super happy to have the mom company and abby would say the same for the kids!
Saturday we finally delivered on Abby's birthday present: the Renaisance Festival!!
She got to ride a butterfly just like in one of her recent books.
Face painting that she'd waited over 6 weeks for!
Meeting Fairies! It was seriously all of her dreams come true. A bunch of other fairies blew fairy dust (aka glitter) all over us too. She was breathless.
Meeting a princess and talking jewelery.
Turkey legs. We seriously went all out here but it was such a great memory (at least for us)
Tai tai ate 1/2 of the leg himself!
Twiggy up close. She was so great!
It ended with pouring rain and Abby and I even fell in the mud, but that too was memorable. So glad we went.

What a wonderful birthday celebration for Abby! It looks like you made her dreams come true! What fun!
