This weekend Keith and Lori were able to come to Denver and hang out. We had a super time and used it as a chance to do all the fun things we like to do.
Friday morning we had our usual art group, but it extended into the afternoon when Abby decided she wanted to make a carriage and Grammy took up the challenge. These pics don't really do it justice, it's so cute! Abby got a new princess dress up doll that she loves to take to the ball. Here i think abby is 1/2 princess and 1/2 the fairy godmother!
Keith and Lori's hotel had a pool on the roof top! It was so fun for abby to swim with Grandpa keith and use her swimmies again since our pool doesn't allow them.
Saturday we ventured to our favorite hike in El Dora and ate lunch in Nederland.
It was nice to get into the mountains and use our new kid carrier we got at goodwill for 13 bucks!
Matthias was much happier about hiking this time.
The waterfall was neat and abby was super excited about it like i'd hoped she would be!
I don't know who liked the carousel more. Abby riding it, or Matthias watching!
Saturday night we were worn out, but not enough to stop us from watching the Rockies play the Phillies. They played horribly, but it was an awesome experience anyway.
Here Abby is in her last free teeshirt that was an extra large and sewed down to a nice tunic fitting dress for her. This game we got 5 new purple teeshirts so there will be at least 1 new dress in the making!
The free kids teeball cage is one of Abby's favorite parts of the rockies games with Grandpa Keith giving her pointers.
Abby got to high five Dinger which was a highlight for her now that she knows who he is!
Sunday morning Matthew had to do church stuff but the grandparents had energy for one more adventure- the butterfly pavilion.
There was so much to look at, do, experience, learn there! Even Tai tai loved it! There was a neat rainforest playground where he could crawl around and try to be like his big sister.
The butterflies were numerous and beautiful!
The plants were so cool too! This was Lori's favorite flower. Anyone know it's name?
My favorite flower. Again... name?
Thanks for coming Keith and Lori! It was a great visit!

That carriage is amazing!Lori's favorite flower is the spider flower. Looks like you had fun!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a wonderful weekend. So glad you were able to fit in so many fun things. Thank you so much for Annika's butterfly, when we gave it to Annika she hugged it tight. Please be sure to tell Abby how much she likes it!
