Happy Birthday Matthias!

The little guy turned one and though we had a million other things going on, we did stop to celebrate!

The day before his birthday was old Grandpa Cornell's 87th birthday and we went to the nursing home to celebrate with him and the rest of the cornells. Somehow I have NO PICTURES of this event. Dad, Bekah?! help me out!!

Since moving to the farm, Matthias is in LOVE with horses. This merited his own rocking horse to ride. (Thank you craigslist!)

All the cousins and Nickoloff grandparents came over for their regular weekly dinner and we put up some quick decorations and balloons. Matthias didn't even get any of his own cake (upsidedown pear gingerbread) but he enjoyed a bit of whipped cream.

Then this past weekend we traveled to Ithaca where we met up with the Rizzos and celebrated one last time.
Matthias is now walking everywhere as his main mode of transportation (unless a horse is available)

The farmer's market is one of my favorite parts of Ithaca. It makes me so happy to be able to share it with my kids and my family!

Yum- in one short weekend we ate cambodian, japanese, vietnamese and Thai food.

Did you know an icecream cake will do just fine in a refridgerator for over 6 hours. Lesson learned.

It was awesome to spend the weekend not only with the Rizzos but also their good friends. They have 5 lovely kids who all fussed over and mother hen'd abby and matthias every minute we were there. My kids loved it!

It was also the apple festival downtown. Go abby and amma! and no one got hurt :)

  1. Thank you so much for the more Matthias pictures! He changes so fast!

The picture of the Eileen with that young Sorenson is GOREGOUS.

Adele's been taking single, cautious steps. Soon we will have two walkers that have never met. Let us fix this.
